General Not Working issues.

Why is my soundbug2 not working?

iPhone4 - iOS5 Update. SB2 may not work after the update. We are working on a fix and will update when resolved
Check battery is charged and Green LED lights when switched ON.
Check host is paired with soundbug2 if using Bluetooth or cable is connected for wired operation.
Check music is playing and volume level on audio source and soundbug2 is turned up.
Ensure the surface you place it on is flat and resonant, i.e. makes a sound when you tap it.
Ensure the large rectangular soundbug2 foot is clean and in contact with drive surface.

Power and Charging Issues

Does soundbug2 turn itself off? 

Yes, soundbug2 turns itself off to save power if left idle for more than 5 minutes.

How do you charge it?

Charge the soundbug2 using the USB cable supplied and a suitable computer or USB power supply.

How does it indicate that the battery needs charging?

The red LED will start to flash to indicate battery requires charging.

How long does it take to charge?

Typically 5hrs to charge from flat.

Do I have to charge it via a USB port? Can I use mains power to charge?

soundbug2 should be charged from a USB port on a computer or a mains powered USB power supply (5V 500mA). Mains power cannot be directly used to charge it.

How long will a fully charged battery last?

The playtime is typically 4-6 hours dependent on type of music being played and wired or wireless connection.

When I connected my soundbug2 to my computer to charge, the message ‘USB Power exceeded’ appears, what do I do?

soundbug2 can only be charged from 5V 500mA USB ports, try another USB port or self powered USB hub or use a mains powered USB power supply.

When I connect my soundbug2 to my computer to charge, a device not recognised message appears.

soundbug2 currently only supports charging from a computer, dismiss this message.

Where and How can soundbug2 be used

Can I use it if it I don’t have Bluetooth, e.g. MP3 player, iPod, CD player, Radio, Walkman? 

Yes, soundbug2 can be used with your device even if you do not have Bluetooth using an optional cable (Product: SB2AA (mono) or Product: SB2SA (stereo)) which will connect to any 3.5mm headphone output.

I have a single soundbug2, how can I turn it into a stereo pair?

You can add another soundbug2 to make a stereo pair. If you are using a Bluetooth connection then soundbug2 can wirelessly connect with the second soundbug2 or you can us the optional cable Product: SB2SA (stereo).

What surfaces can I use it on/sound the best?

soundbug2 can be used on any resonant sounding surface. Surfaces which work best are:
(i) table tops and cabinets made of wood, chipboard, plywood or MDF
(ii) Hollow construction shelving
(iii) Honeycomb panels
(iv) Acrylic/fibreglass panels
(v) Glass

Will soundbug2 work with a Wi-Fi® network?

soundbug2 is not designed to connect with Wi-Fi® networks it can only connect wirelessly to Bluetooth devices.

My soundbug2 does not turn off when I press the on/off button, how can I turn it off?

If soundbug2 does not switch off by pressing the on/off button, then using a paperclip, press the RESET button momentarily to turn it off.

Why does the sound from my soundbug2(s) keep cutting out when I use Bluetooth?

Ensure the host device is near the soundbug2(s) and the path between them is not blocked by a solid object such as a wall.
Ensure host and soundbug2 battery are fully charged.
Try turning soundbug2 and host OFF and ON again.

Can I use soundbug2 in the bath?

Although soundbug2 will work when placed on the bath (above the water) it is not advised and warranty excludes any product showing signs of water ingress.

Can I use soundbug2 with my TV?

If your TV has a 3.5mm headphone output then it can be connected to soundbug2 using a wired accessory kit.
